WHAT A WEEK!!




Firstly I just want to say how PROUD I am of my INFAMOUS GIRLS!! They have been working their little bums off and this week it is really paying off! We have been getting some awesome results and feeling more motivated than EVER!!

Secondly, I am SOOO EXCITED to announce that I will be the face of Rockwear Australia’s latest collection! I will be shooting with them next week and will post some behind the scenes pics in my next blog.

In other news, I have decided to do my own little experiment!
I’m not competing this year, nor do I have anything to look “AMAZING” for.. BUT I have decided to put myself through an 18 week CHALLENGE!!
I took my before pictures the other week and will upload them (eeek!!) aswell as my after photos at the end of my challenge. I will keep you updated with my diet, training and how I feel week by week so you know exactly what I go through.
The reason I’m doing this is to see how my body reacts to it, I want to see what I’m capable of as I have never done something like this before! I want to prove that you can do ANYTHING if you put your mind to it, and show you that YOU control your body!
Bring on the next 19 weeks, WISH ME LUCK!!!

Are you a TALKER, or a DO'ER?

Now we all know that the key to success is inspiration, motivation & determination!

Everyone wants a good body, but not many people are willing to make the sacrifices it takes to make a REAL change!!  Do you find yourself wanting and wishing your life away but when it comes down to the crunch, it’s too hard? It’s IMPOSSIBLE??
“I’m starting the gym next week/month/YEAR..”
“I’m not drinking for a month, except this weekend..and next..”
That my friend is a “Talker”.
Happy to sit on the sidelines and watch everyone else achieve their goals while they are just happy talking about what they COULD do.
If you want to SNAP out of that mindset and finally take control of your life, here are a few things you will need in order to become a “DO’ER”…

·       Inspiration-

You can find inspiration easily.. Whether it be you stalking your favourite fitness models Facebook page or watching one of your girlfriends take on a new journey into health and fitness!!
One problem with inspiration, is it can only last momentarily.. As most people are happy watching from the sidelines, and find it too hard/unrealistic for them to get the same result.
 
·       Motivation-
So inspiration is when you something that gets you started, but motivation is what keeps you going.
If you can’t motivate yourself, then you already have a problem! Without motivation you have a very low success rate! You need to motivate yourself by setting goals, and pushing your boundaries! As a Personal Trainer, not only do I train you to get a stronger body, I train you to get a stronger MIND! I am hired to be your motivator, and eventually with the skills and knowledge you pick up from your time with me, you end up being able to motivate yourself, day in and day out!!

·       Determination
 The quality of being determined to do or achieve something!!
Once you have found your inspiration and got the motivation to do something about it, you will need 100% determination for you to achieve your goal! Without determination & the drive to accomplish any goal you set out to achieve you will struggle… HARD!!
You hate how you look in the nude? Use that as your inspiration , motivation AND determination!! CHANGE IT, love yourself! It’s so freaking easy it’s not even funny! You just need to make that first step!

Under Pressure??


Megan Fox, Ashlee Simpson, The Olsen twins, Nicole Richie…
The pressure women face to be thin is overwhelming.
In any given gossip magazine, you will find pictures of Hollywood celebrities who look like they have recently missed a few important meals – and we assume it is probably all in the name of staying competitive in their field.
Of course the public gives celebrities like these a very hard time – primarily because this body type is not the norm for society, But unfortunately, there are some girls that feel as though they need to live up to these standards in order to be beautiful…
Most of us are very uneducated when it comes to nutrition and very naïve when it comes to the definition of health & beauty. We are constantly chasing “perfection” …(it’s true)
And that can lead to a number of deadly disorders;
·         Anorexia
·         Bulimia
·         Body Dysmorphic disorder
·         Binge eating disorder
·         Orthorexia nervosa
·         Compulsive overeating
·         Pica Disorder
·         Diabulimia
And the list goes on....
Change your mindset!
Luckily these days more and more women are catching the fitness bug, and learning how to look after their bodies properly and fuel their bodies with nourishing foods.
GET ACTIVE!
The more active you are, the less crap you will want to eat. Self hate is a massive problem, even I have this problem sometimes..
After enjoying some awesome pancakes or a yummy chocolate I tend to get down on myself- “WHY did I need to eat that”- ultimately making yourself feel guilty after eating junk food.
HOW TO SOLVE THIS- Treat yourself... in moderation! Don’t drive yourself crazy, if you want a chocolate, have a chocolate.. Just not one every day!  If you can stick to a clean diet all week, come Saturday or Sunday, that cheat meal is well deserved, and you will enjoy every bit of it!!
Get Spiritual!
 Start enjoying the finer things in life, like waking up early and going for a walk with your man or doing a yoga class with your girlfriends. Things like that tend to balance you, and everyone needs a little balance!!
Last but not least- Find yourself a HEALTHY role model!

None of this superficial, super skinny crap! Find powerful women, who look after themselves and stand for all the right things!

Summer Ready

Summer is still a few months away and most of us are already sweating.. The barley there bikinis, the cropped tops…THE FEAR!!
Yes winter does seem to have a damaging affect to our rocking summer bods with all those cups of hot chocolate and toasted Pop-Tarts. Buts it’s time to get out of hibernation and find that motivation you NEED to get yourself back on track.
To everyone thinking “it’s easier said than done”.. I shake my head at you!
YOU ARE YOUR ONLY SOLUTION!!
 Yes it is easy to sit on the couch and watch MasterChef, and Yep, it is really comfortable to lay in bed on a Saturday morning until 9am..
BUT that isn’t going to shake those winter kilos and make you feel any more confident in your Brazilian Bombshell Bikini’s!

Step one- TAKE THE FIRST STEP!!
Get out of your comfort zone, wake up earlier and go for morning walks, Join your local gym (Better yet make an appointment to see me ;) )
By taking that first step you are already overlapping everyone sitting on the couch!

Step two- WRITE DOWN YOUR GOALS!!
You’ve probably heard hundreds of times that it is crucial to write your goal down. But do you know why this step is so important?
When you put pen to paper you turn your thoughts into something tangible. You can actually see it, touch it, and even smell it if you want to. Your goal is no longer just a thought! It becomes something that motivates you every time you look at it and triggers emotions, thoughts and better yet DREAMS <3

Step three- FIND THAT DETERMINATION & STAY MOTIVATED AS YOU ARE YOUR ONLY SOLUTION!!
Determination is the quality of being determined to do or achieve something, It is important as it means that you are willing to do anything to overcome any challenges just so you can achieve what you want; you are willing to see your project through to the end despite any set-backs.
You CAN do anything if you put your mind to it, as Dr Phil as it sounds, ITS TRUE!
Stop under estimating yourself and start your journey NOW, like I said.. Summer is nearly here ;)
